Thanks!
Well, we made it! The end of the quarter, the end of the semester, and the end of Human Geography. I hope you enjoyed it, but more importantly, I hope you learned something. I will see many of you next semester for Western Civilization, but if you are going off to join Mr. Teter's groups, I hope you'll still say hi in the halls. It's been a pleasure sharing the classroom with you!

the last test
Your test on North Korea will be given tomorrow (Friday). The best way to prepare for this is to review the material on the PowerPoint. If you missed any of the video, or if you simply want to check out parts that may be unclear, the video is also linked here. The grade from this test, a class participation grade, and the blogs from this week are the only grades left for this quarter. Good luck tomorrow, and I hope you finish on a high note!

how did I do?
Below is the link to an anonymous survey I would like you to take. It is an evaluation of my instruction for this semester for this Human Geography course. A summary of the results will be seen by my department head, by the administration, and by me. Please be thoughtful and honest in answering the questions and giving me your feedback. The goal here is to make me the best teacher I can be, and your feedback is very important to me. Thanks!

as Q2 comes to a close...
The only grades left to be entered this quarter (and this semester) are the North Korea test you will take on Friday, a Class Participation grade, and the blogs for this week. The rest of your blogs are already entered, as well as the extra credit grades for the End-of-Year Rap and for attending the Pow Wow.
Reminder - the PowerPoint on North Korea is posted with my links, as well as the Inside North Korea video itself. Please see me if you have any questions.

more North Korea, and a rare extra credit offer
Today we watched more of the excellent documentary Inside North Korea. Keep in mind that the test on this material will be next Friday, January 16, the last day of the second quarter and the first semester.
I also recommend that you attend the Pow Wow tomorrow, Saturday, January 10. The doors open at 10am, and the Grand Entry - the highlight of the entire day - is at 1pm. I will give you ten extra credit points if you attend the Pow Wow. There will be a sign in sheet at the main entrance. There is a good will donation of $2, which goes directly to the St. Labré Indian School inAshland , Montana - a very worthy cause. There will be lots of fantastic things to eat and incredibly unique crafts for sale, so bring a few bucks if you can.
Have a great weekend!
